The Mossberg 930SPX is hard to beat for $600 and that is a semi.

Sunday was supposed to be a great day. Let me say that the cosmos seriously had it in for me on April Fool's.

I can't get in touch with anyone to get the key for my club's steel targets. And I mean NO ONE. The only person I can get a hold of does not have the key. And he is the President of the club!! I manage to get in but it was quite an ordeal.

I get situated and start to load the KSG with the new box of 100 rds I bought at Walmart. I chamber load a round and start to load the tubes. Disaster. I keep getting double feeds. I extract the rounds and try to reload again. But they keep slipping out of the tooth that holds the rounds in. WTF is going on!!!! AAAGHHHH . . . oh wait does that say 20 ga? Damn I feel extremely dumb right now. REALLY DUMB. In my haste to buy ammo and get such a good deal I never checked it was 12 ga.

To make matters worse I now have a 20 ga round lodged in the barrel and no push rod. Luckily the range officers had one in the office. But cosmic HAHA on me they only have 16ga and 20 ga for sale. No 12 ga. I hate my life right now you have no idea.

Grab my guns and drive over to the trap/skeet range and try to buy some 12 ga off some shooters. No one has some. But luckily the Range Officer has some boxes in his shack. Thank the LORD!!!

Go back and try it again. GoPro battery dies. Great, just great. Quickly try to charge it up in my car. Luckily I have my Flip HD camera but not the same as the GoPro due to interesting camera angles.

Load up the KSG and as I run it, I get a couple jams and one serious double feed. The round was in the chamber and another round was grabbed by the extractors and above the lifters. There is NO WAY of getting that round out. Without taking the damn gun apart. I try and finagle getting the double round shoved back into the tube.

One thing I learned about the KSG is that loading the left tube really sucks. And I mean I want to punch a baby in the head is sucks so much.


Here is the video I was able to shoot today. I edited out the painfully long hangups and jams. One good thing that came out of this is that I proved that my KRISS BUIS work on the KSG. They are still zeroed for my KRISS Vector and my Eotech is zeroed to my KRISS Vector. However on the KSG they work perfectly. I point the KSG and bang steel falls down. Cant get any better than that.
