I felt nothing, On the other hand it did run through my head of what I had in my car and where my SHTF kit was.

We had a 2.2 tremor within 20 miles of us yesterday too but no one felt that. I see one crack in the paint of a stairwell wall in my office building after the big quake. But the question is whether it was there before the tremor? All in all it seems to be business as usual in upstate NY, 500 miles from the VA centered quake.

So what can we learn from it? My immediate family was scattered over three counties but touched base by cell phone within 30 minutes. But this provided an opportunity to remind each other of who the emergency contacts are in case we can’t reach each other, or can’t get home.

We would have been caught with only 15 gallons of potable water drawn and stored if the power went off. That was not a major issue since we have the ability to put a generator on the well pump if we had to. In the big picture I need to get my winter’s firewood cut and stacked in case fuel oil becomes unavailable or undeliverable this winter. My advice to everyone is to do the mental exercise. It is worth taking a fresh look. Even now I'm sure that there are things that I'm not thinking of but that is what makes forums like this so useful.

I deff don't have my wood ready for winter but I have a head start. I do have the privliage of knowing there is a natural spring in my woods. I have a very decent supply of canned food, and enough scrap wood to build another house lol

I also don't have my wood ready. I have to order 4-5 cord shortly though to get through this winter. I didn't even feel or hear about the quake until my Dad called me on the phone to ask if I felt it and I thought he was BS'ing me. It is a wake up though that I need to get a new emergency bag for my trunk and get it restocked.
