I didn't like the Silver Seitz that I shot. It felt too bulk to me. The last time I shot with Dave Shaeffer he was shooting a Seitz and shot it very well, I believe he is shooting a K gun now though.

thats the nice thing about ritchie he will work with you for fit and comfort so you feel good with the gun. Remember that 100,000 shoot out at the grand was won by a junior shooter this year. O f witch we have a few very good junior shooters in our area that did very exceptional this year.

I think you could make the argument that NY has some of the best trap shooters in the country. I know that one of the junior shooters around here came in the top 10 last year @ the Grand for the $100,000 and walked away with $5,000 thanks to the Martins.

I've been looking at the Beretta 682 Gold E combo set and I think that is going to be a bday gift to myself over the winter. 34" unsingle and 32" O/U barrels.

I feel like I just showed up at a major league baseball camp with a wiffle bat. (grin)

How do you think the guys who spent $20K on a shotgun feel when they get beat by a gun with a $300 gun.

My Citori Plus that I'm currently shooting has done me well, if I didn't feel that I would benefit enough from a 34" unsingle barrel and a 32" O/U barrel I would keep the Citori.

I use a 2 3/4 dram load of 8's in gold medel plastic cases for 16 yard trap. For handicap (23yds) I use federal papers 3 dram 7 1/2's.

Walworth Sportsmen's club sent 3 Jr. shooters to a major event and the won. Chris Vendel is one of the top trap shooters in the country. He posted more straight runs at a younger age than any other trap shooter around.

    1oz 8's
    24gram doubles load Federal papers
    handi-cap 7.5's 1-1/8 oz

The question I'd ask is; Can you beat them on a long run say 400 or 500 targets?

I prefer 2 3/4 dram #8's topgun. They have them in pink for breast cancer research and red white and blue for the wounded warrior. The lightest load for 16 & doubles but 3 dram or max load for caps.
