Chautauqua Co. firearm discharge resolution
Two members of the Chautauqua Co. legislature Robert Duff and Rudy Mueller have introduced a resolution calling upon the state legislature to increase from 500' to 1000' the no firearms discharge law for hunting and shooting within the county. This is in response to the opening up of big game rifle hunting within the county.
Here is a copy of the resolution: http://www.nysrpa.org/files/Chautauq...Resolution.pdf
Here is contact information for the county legislature: http://www.chautauqua-ny.com/departm.../AllItems.aspx
As of now no bill has been pre-filed in Albany.

This is complete non-sense. 500' or 1000', it doesn't mattter, if a bullet is coming at you another 500' isn't going to make a bit of difference. This is just another way to push hunters out of the areas they can hunt in. This is a clear example as to why we need more hunters to be proactive in the fight to get rid of these restrictions on your 2A rights here in NY.
