I will be there shooting next weekend. Personally I think there are better clubs in the area. Canandaigua, Brooks, and GCL would all be my choice before Ontario.

I looked at the Ontario and Williamson clubs about this time last year. The Ontario club looked like nobody had been there in days when I drove by, but the Williamson club was staffed and very active even with snow on the ground. They have a sporting clays course, a target range with 25, 50, and 100 yard berms and two pistol target tracks, and they also have skeet shooting.

Williamson is only about 10 minutes further east of Ontario on Rt. 104. Here's their web site:

You can stop by any morning on the weekend and there'll be somebody in the clubhouse if you have questions.

I was at Ontario this past weekend and it was bad. The club looks like a sky scraper had just been demolished there. Metal fences up everywhere, a lot of dirt and mud, broken concrete slabs around the back side of the property and the club house looks like it is falling apart. Not to mention the targets were low this weekend, it feels like you need a step ladder to see over the trap houses. Definitely go to Williamson.

Williamson also has a manager on site Thursday's around 9am open for sporting clays to the public & members. The clays course has programable controls for the course. This way a person can shoot by theirself

    Rich,

The club's web site for activities is here:

    http://www.williamsongunclub.org/activities.shtml

It's a little out of date but it shows non-members pay $16 for 50 targets. I don't think it's gone up too much since then. It's been months since I shot sporting clays there so I don't remember the exact price.

The sporting clays course is also open on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
