Are you planning to reload or buying factory ammo? I reload, and have had great luck with 130 grain hornady sst's on top of superformance powder. But as mentioned your gun may like another type of ammo. Its always best to try a few to see what fly's the best from your gun. As for the range, that will depend on how far your shooting. Typically heavier bullets have a higher BC and will travel better at range. However lighter bullets get pushed faster, and have less drop out to a range where the higher BC of the heavier bullet has it traveling faster. Simple ballistic curves will show you where the crossover point is. I myself like heavier bullets. Just my $.02
