Installing Bullet Guide on Saiga

I just started on my next saiga conversion...I am throwing alot of different parts at this one! should come out pretty neat. I am welding up all the holes also, and I am taking off the scope mounting braket on the side. I will fill the velcro with weld too. I am not pulling the barrel on this one, I think I figured out how to rivet the bullet guide in and leave the barrel in.
I am not going to post pics this time, but will take some of the finished saiga for ya.

What is your idea for riveting in the bullet guide? I think I'm going to start welding them in but would prefer to rivet if possibly just for the sake of originality.


Once I get my new trap gun in the next couple of weeks I'm going to start on a Saiga build for myself. Side folding stock, Hogue handguards, and then a mount for an Aimpoint T-1.

I plan on drilling the 5/32 hole for the rivet, the using a bucking plate and shims through the front of the receiver under the trunnion...sort of how I did it here... but I beleive I can leave the barrel in.
