    Just be careful.

if anything, id install one of these. They were used on Saiga rifles, and are considered thumbholes.

this particular model i think would be safe. AGain, as its used on other factory produced saigas, and is considered a thumbhole for IMPORTATION reasons.

Thumbholes for AWB reasons, it is not. ATF redefined a thumbhole stock during the 94 ban if i recall.

NYS AWB mirrors federal law, doesnt have all the same provisions, like replacement magazines (flattening old mags and using new ones). But the NYS law covering thumbholes, not sure if it covers the OLD 94 ban before thumbhole was redefined or not. Thats the million dollar question that i dont think we should ask the NSYP.

    yea...its a mess legality-wise.

again if you are dead set on a stock, either use a TRUE thumbhole like a Mak90/SL8 style, or go with the saiga specific one.

    Saiga stock below...

Dieter122 is this a direct swap?

Thank you for the info, indeed i am heavily considering a thumb hole, but it doesnt seem like i can find one that doesnt require major mods...

it might be the case where i settle for the stock you've described for lack of options

I believe it's a direct drop in. As it was made as simply a substitute for the traditional hunting rifle type stock they usually come with. No moving the trigger group or anything. These particular thumb hole stock types run 80-100 bucks if you can even hunt one down. No problem at all on the info.

Unsure. If I had that stock I'd try it on my two guns.

I believe it would be the same for either saiga rifle or shotgun. That's my best guess

    CnRnut would probably know...

Any Saiga factory stock will fit a S-12. I've got a S-308 wood stock on one of my S-12's.
If your after a Saiga factory t-hole stock like Dieter posted, let me know. (no conversion needed)
Yet you will have a tuff time adding US made parts to make it legal for 10 rd. mags.
If your after one of the t-holes I posted, let me know. (conversion needed)
If your wanting a Romie "Drag"type or Choate style thumbhole,or MAK 90, let me know.
I have alot of stocks floating around. ;o)
Can't help you with the the style you posted. Havn't seen them in a long time.

i forgot the balance to this. the stock, if replaced by the factory t-hole type stock requires how many more parts?

I know mags count as 3 parts right?

    thanks for the help guys

Im in the same situation. Id love to move the trigger back to its original location to get rid of the sloppy stock trigger. This stock seems like it would do the trick http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.ph...cat=367&page=3. Im just hesitant to do the conversion and have the thumbhole stock still be considered a pistol grip since its such a grey area.
