Rich, I misunderstood about the AK my friend has. He ordered the other parts and couldn't find a stock that states it will fit the milled version only the stamped version.
Ps: My new one should be headed your way Thurs. or Fri.

How hard is it to swap out a barrel on a HK, for example to switch the 12.5" barrel on a 93 to put in a 16"?

Hmm, so that makes it hard to do without damaging the receiver...

Well I happened to ask the right question at the right time and ended up bringing this Pre Ban HK 91 home today. And I get to break it in. Needless to say she had a little dust on her.

WOW! where? how? does she have a sister?
Well done, you also have the three point sling. Production code? The red book? I remember when mine was new it came with sight tool, two magazines a five and 20, red book, cleaning kit and leather sling.
Enjoy!

Thanks, crossed that one off the list. Now for a 93.
That was the only 1, no sister. Just happened to talk about getting an HK 91 or 93 and was told hang on and this was brought out and handed to me. I felt happy and nervous at the same time. Then after staring at it and picking it up and putting it down over several min. I decided I had to have it. I got 14 New old stock HK pre ban 20 RND mags as well. I'm a happy camper! Tomorrow it's going to get some rounds through it. I stripped it already and made sure it's clean and dust free. Then oiled it up and now it's ready to go.
Edit:
Looked up the Manufacture Date and it's an 81' looks like this one's been sitting around for some time.
