I had a chance to shoot it this weekend and the gun beat my face up pretty bad. It looked liked someone hit me so I have to go to my stock fitter to have some adjustments made to the wood on Wednesday. The wood is beautiful though in person!

I'm going to shoot a round of Sporting Clays on Sunday in Canandaigua if anyone wants to join!

Wow, that sounds like a bad marriage. "Dude, how'd your face get all beat up?" "My wife got mad." "You ought to leave her." "Leave a babe like that? Are you kidding?"

It is a gorgeous piece of hardware though. I'd make it work. (grin)

I'm meeting with my stock fitter tomorrow morning. I think it is as simple as shortening the LOP and changing the pitch. At least I hope it is.

So any updates on stock fitting and are you done being beat up by the "preetty stick"?

Hows the new shotty treating you?

If I mount the gun lower on my face it fits fine but I still need to have 3/8" cut off the length of the stock. I am shooting pretty good scores with it and I have a feeling my score will improve a bit more after I get another 1,000 rounds through the gun in the next 2-3 weeks.

I shot a league on Sunday and shot a 45/50 (23, 22) and 4 of the 5 I missed were because I was shooting over the top of the bird. I have my POI set to about 95/5 or 90/10 at a minimum so I dropped my POI down about 3" @ 35 yards after those two rounds and shot another two practice rounds a few hours later. I shot a 24 in singles and a 24 in handicap from the 21 so I think the POI adjustment might have helped a bit. I'm going to go and shoot again tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday so if everything checks out after this week I will get the gun into my stock fitter and have the wood cut down.

I do love the light weight of a Beretta though. I can shoot the gun all day long without getting fatigued. It feels like 80% of the weight is in the back half of the gun which gives a good feel to the gun.

That makes sense. Keeping the weight near your center of motion means it'll be easier to turn and track. I guess you don't want a bull barrel for clayshooting.
