Apparently wally world in Painted Post doesn't carry any .223 cal, or 5.56mm ammo, according to the lady behind the sporting good desk... not that she looked. I guess I will have to stop at Dick's tomorrow, that sucks..lol

Mikes Guns & Ammo in Horseheads has both steel or brass 556 for about the same price as Wallmart. Steel cases are 5 somthing a box and the brass are $7.29. Good brass for reloading also.

thanks for the info, did not know that, I ended up at Bullseye Shooters bought American Eagle for $7.25 a box

All the ones around Albany carry Federal 223 in 100 round boxes, about 40 bucks + each.

The Dick's in Victor has rifle and pistol ammo. I think the one in Webster does too. It's behind the gun counter though. You have to find someone who works there to get it for you. Shotgun ammo is out on shelves where you can pick it up yourself.

I got Remington and and another brand (American Eagle maybe?) at the Victor store for about $9 a box on sale.

I like to try to buy from small local shops to help keep them around, but for bulk I buy online. 420 round for $165.00 shipped.

walmart by me has the WORST ammo selection ever!
Luckily where I work there is a DICKS,GANDER AND SPORTS AUTHORITY. Though SPORTS A sucks too. I prefer to shop at local gun shops for stuff anyway.
