Unhappy Dumb Ass Move of the Day

So some dumb ass was doing laundry this morning. Some dumb ass discovered he washed the wallet with his pistol permits. Said dumb ass was very happy that Utah and Putnam County use plastic credit card type permits. However the dumb ass was very sad that Pennsylvania still uses paper, which doesn't hold up well under water.

Now some dumb ass has to call the Centre County Sheriff's office hoping that they're willing to send a replacement.

    Great day so far!

i don't know what they use to print those PA permits, but the ink on mine stuck to its self while it was folded up - no washing machine necessary. If it gets any worse, I'll be calling Center Co. also.

Copier and laser printer ink will do that. It's microscopic granules of carbon or other pigment coated with plastic. They heat it to melt the plastic, which makes it stick to the paper. Some plastics contain solvents that will soften it too. I has a mock leather (i.e. vinyl) pistol rug that ended up with print from a photocopied manual stuck to it. Hoppes #9 did a nice job of removing the sticky ink.

Oh, I thought this was going to be about Zimmerman apologizing to the Trayvon family for the shooting and cooking his own goose.

    My error, back on topic.

Martin, the 17-year-old he admits he shot -- but only, he says, in self-defense.

"I wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your son," he said to the parents, who attended the hearing in the central Florida city of Sanford, where the shooting took place. "I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am, and I did not know if he was armed or not."
When someone says it can't be done.... They are usually interrupted by someone who is already doing it.

DUE TO PRICE INCREASE ON AMMO - DO NOT EXPECT A WARNING SHOT! :-)

Just a follow-up. I emailed Sheriff Nau of Centre County on Saturday, since office hours are only Monday through Friday. Received a response from him today. After verifying some info, they are shipping out a duplicate permit.

Once again, I'm a happy camper (relatively speaking).
